I thought you might be interested in the progress of a young Shrigley "old" boy - a scoop straight from the horses mouth so to speak!!!.
Go to the following URL. Initial Press Release http://www.ied.edu.hk/news/html/2006/20060929.html
Then try this one: http://www.ied.edu.hk/reg/graduation/2005-06/ Go right to the bottom of the page until you see "Session 6, 28 November 2006 (Tuesday) 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm". There you will see that it says "Address - Fr. Peter Newbery" and there is a link to "video". The speech was in Cantonese but you might enjoy it just the same.
As you can imagine, I am very pleased, particulary since the award was made for the work we are doing for young people at Youth Outreach. I think Don Bosco would be very happy too - as the Head of the Institute of Education said "There are many kinds of education.". To the best of my knowledge, this is the first Honorary Doctorate awarded by any institution in Hong Kong to a priest. I am happy that the priest in question was a Salesian.--
Regards
Peter Newbery
